Overview
Lerniva provides all registered users with the absolute right to delete their accounts and permanently remove their personal information from our databases.
How to request deletion
Two direct paths to remove your account and delete your data:
Log into your Lerniva account on the mobile app, go to Settings > Account, and select Delete Account. Confirm your password to start the automatic deletion sequence.
Send an email to [email protected] from the email registered with your Lerniva account. Use "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line.
What data is permanently deleted?
When your account is deleted, the following records are permanently and irreversibly purged within 7 days:
Your full name, email address, password hashes, and profile photo.
Your custom study progress metrics, lecture reading history, notes, folders, and flashcard sets.
Direct guidance logs and goals formed in mentor relations.
Custom study session logs, prompts, and hint histories from the AI Assistant.
What data is retained?
To preserve institutional records and cohort grading structures, the following data is handled as follows:
Answers submitted for school-assigned tests and exam-grade assessments are kept in institutional records for academic auditing — but fully decoupled from your personal profile (anonymized) so they cannot be linked back to your identity.
System operation telemetry is anonymized and aggregated for analytics and performance tracking.
Data deletion timeline
Once an app-initiated or email-based deletion request is received, our database script processes the removal of all personal identifiers within 7 business days. Backup snapshots containing your data are automatically overwritten within 30 days per our disaster recovery schedules.
